What a lovely ode to Italy Marilyn. I think it’s natural for visitors to be wowed by Rome, Florence, and Venice at first. But the real Italy is in its many small and medium towns (or cities like Milan), that have all their own quiet elegance, humane monotony, and local attractions.

I can see myself living in a smaller Italian town some day, relishing the simplicity and gentility.
